The Brief: An Elite At-Home 'Spa' Sanctuary
The brief for this heritage Lodge style family home in Virginia Water was to design and project manage a breathtaking, country style master bathroom that delivers the ultimate "luxury spa at home" experience. The client desired a space that beautifully balances tactile heritage elements with high-end modern wellness amenities, utilizing a bold, nature-inspired palette and dramatic metallic focal points.
The Design Strategy & Execution
To create a deeply immersive, boutique-spa environment, our interior design, procurement, and structural project management team co-ordinated a flawless execution of bespoke joinery and material layering:
The Copper Masterpiece: The undisputed crown jewel of the sanctuary is a magnificent round copper feature bath tub. This statement piece introduces an organic, shimmering warmth and sets a tone of timeless luxury.
The Botanical & Tile Canvas: We wrapped the space in a rich palette of deep bottle green tiles and calming sage green walls. This tonal green layering mimics the tranquil textures of the surrounding Surrey landscapes, enhancing the room's serene, spa-like qualities.
Bespoke "His & Hers" Vanity Suite: We designed and built a custom bespoke cabinetry vanity unit painted in matching sage green. This is crowned by elegant "his and hers" matching copper sinks, seamlessly paired with statement feature wall lights mounted on either side of the vanity unit mirror to create perfectly diffused task lighting.
Architectural Framing & Mood Lighting: To enhance the country house aesthetic, we curated a striking black lantern light fixture alongside an architectural, black-framed 'window mirror' that reflects light across the green tiling.
Curated Styling & Marine Art: The space was meticulously styled with a curated gallery of beautifully framed fine art prints showcasing natural shells and coral, rooting the luxury room in a timeless, sophisticated country estate aesthetic.
