The design directive was exacting: create a highly functional, visually beautiful, and deeply luxurious interior that remained exceptionally cost-effective and durable for the high-end prime rental market.
Clever Zoning for Tight, Open-Plan Footprints
Maximising square footage in a compact London apartment requires smart, non-structural spatial planning. To segment the open-plan layout without blocking natural light, we engineered a series of bespoke open-shelved bookcases. These function as architectural room dividers, establishing distinct zones for lounging, dining, and working while allowing light to flow freely through the entire property.
The Living Area: Warm Earth Tones & Sleek Elements
The main living space utilizes a rich, grounding colour scheme of deep chocolates, warm taupes, and shimmering copper accents. This palette was meticulously curated to tie in with our client’s bold abstract artwork. To elevate the sense of space and modern glamour, we paired these warm textiles with clean, reflective chrome and glass coffee and side tables, which bounce light and visually expand the floor area.
The Private Quarters: Deep Teal & Smart Reflections
The Master Bedroom: To contrast with the neutral living spaces, we introduced an energetic splash of colour via a deep teal feature wall and coordinating textiles. Floor-to-ceiling mirrored wardrobe doors were installed to instantly double the visual depth of the room and maximize natural daylight, crowned by striking architectural artwork curated above the bed.
The Luxury Bathroom: Adhering to the apartment's core taupe palette, the bathroom functions as a sleek, low-maintenance wet space. To inject visual texture and high-end interest without the cost of full-room premium slabs, we strategically detailed feature mosaic tile panels within the shared bath/shower enclosure as well as behind the toilet for a touch of elegance.
