The Brief & Architectural Vision

LT Designs was commissioned to deliver a complete interior design and project management service for a grand entrance hall and landing in Cobham. The objective was to transform the transitional spaces of the home into a high-impact, contemporary statement that harmonised with the property’s significant architectural features and my clients vision for the space.

Design Strategy & Implementation

To achieve an atmosphere of "Contemporary Elegance," our studio implemented a strategic design programme focusing on light, perspective, and bespoke furniture selection:

Palette & Contrast: We utilised a sophisticated muted neutral colour palette, punctuated by bespoke dark wood furniture and curated framed art to provide a sharp, elegant contrast, whilst also incorporating my clients’ personal tastes.

Symmetry & Lighting: To create a sense of scale upon entry, we specified a pair of sculptural statement table lamps and twin wall mirrors positioned above twin console tables, mirroring the home’s formal symmetry.

Spatial Optimisation: We addressed the challenging "under-stairs" void by installing a wall-to-wall fitted mirror and a curated seating pair. This bespoke glasswork effectively doubled the perceived light and provided an extended perspective of the ground floor.

Seamless Transition: The design was meticulously planned to serve as a visual prologue, hinting at the high-specification finish and aesthetic narrative found throughout the remainder of the residence.
