The Brief: Maximising Spatial Footprints for a Master Bathroom Ensuite

The brief for this major residential project was to completely re-engineer and enlarge an outdated, cramped en-suite bathroom to create an expansive, luxurious home spa. The client desired a deeply serene sanctuary wrapped in a calming neutral colour palette, offset by a strategic accent colour to deliver an unmistakable "wow factor." Crucially, to unlock the necessary square footage, the project demanded a complete spatial re-structure, requiring our team to masterfully relocate the home's existing walk-in wardrobes.

The Architectural & Design Execution

1. Complete Structural Re-allocation

To achieve the grand proportions required for a premium home master bath, our project management team executed a comprehensive space re-allocation plan:

The Structural Shift: We successfully dismantled and relocated the existing walk-in wardrobes to an alternative zone within the master suite.

Enlarging the Footprint: By knocking through the partition walls, we absorbed the wardrobe footprint into the bathroom, effectively doubling the size of the en-suite to accommodate grander fixtures.

2. Advanced Material Procurement & Tactile Contrast

To prevent a large, neutral-toned bathroom from feeling cold, we curated a sophisticated matrix of contrasting yet complementing floor and wall finishes:

The Warmth of Wood-Look Tiling: We specified and procured premium, contemporary wood-look porcelain tiles. Installed across a feature zone, these high-end, moisture-resistant tiles inject the organic warmth and architectural tranquillity of natural timber, transforming the bathroom into a serene woodland spa.

The Tonal Tile Canvas: The timber look was beautifully balanced with large-format neutral stone tiles on alternating walls and floors, creating an airy, light-reflective foundation.

The Wow-Factor Accent: We integrated a bold, meticulously placed accent colour through glistening glass pebble look tiles & bespoke vanity joinery and custom brassware to ensure the neutral canvas was punctuated with luxurious, high-end designer energy.
