Design and Procurement of a Chelsea Mews House Living area.
The brief was to design a living room for a vibrant, music loving couple, blending their love of retro & bohemian tastes as well as incorporate sentimental antique pieces. The room was to be colourful, with favourite colours of pink and purple being dominant, show off their art print collection, accommodate guests for entertaining and house their vast collection of CD’s and vinyl’s. Two bright colour horizontal strata wallpapers were used on alternating walls to ensure the art displayed on each stood proud and were accented by the wallpaper colour. All art was framed in a complementing yet contrasting frames to create interesting gallery walls of their music posters and art collections. The large sofa was covered in an antique pewter velvet to add glamour, a bespoke storage window seat was upholstered in a beautiful tie-dye velvet brining a touch of the 60’s into the scheme & accent antique chairs upholstered bright vibrant fabrics to combine their love for the old and new. Retro, colourful rugs added colour and pattern to the floors in both areas and a bespoke walnut CD & Vinyl storage unit was designed and built to house all their CD’s and Vinyl’s, including extra space for future collecting. Creating a vibrant, retro living and entertaining space perfect for both relaxing and entertaining.
